1 Signing &
Witness Ceremony – from £40
A brief ceremony involving the couple and 2-4 witnesses, each will in
turn sign a keepsake parchment which is then presented to the newlyweds.
2 Unity Sand Ceremony –
from £60
This unity sand ceremony expresses the coming
together of two people or two families into one new family. Typically, each
person has different coloured sand and takes turns pouring it into one clear
vessel, forming a layered effect. Sometimes just the couple participates, and
sometimes the couple's children and/or parents join in with their own coloured
sand, adding to the layers of colours, and expressing the coming together of
the families.
3 Wine Box / Love Letter – from £55
The couple write love
letters to each other before the wedding and seal them in separate envelopes,
they also choose their favourite bottle of wine or drink of choice. During the
ceremony the couple will place these in a box and seal it vowing not to open
the box until an anniversary of their choice. The only other time that the box
can be unsealed is if they are having thoughts of separating at which time they
will drink the wine and read the love letters they wrote when they were getting
married. This will hopefully remind them why they fell in love and chose to
marry in the first place.
4 Breaking of the Glass
Ceremony – from £40
The Breaking of the
Glass Ceremony is traditionally used at Jewish weddings; this ceremony option
signifies the end of the ceremony and the time of celebration. As a health

cloth bag prior to breaking it.
5 Wine Ceremony – from £30
In the Wine ceremony the
couple can choose to pour one glass of white wine and one glass of red wine
into a single glass to create a blush that they will then both drink from, the
couple holding the glass and offering each other the first sip.
6 Jumping The Broom
Ceremony – from £75
Jumping the broom is a time-honored wedding tradition
in which the couple jump over a broom during the ceremony. The act symbolizes a
new beginning and a sweeping away of the past. The broom creates a threshold
for the couple to cross over into their new life together. Try to ensure that your clients can manage to
do this ritual as many clients fall when attempting to do it.
7 Rose Ceremony – from £30
In the Rose ceremony the
couple can choose to present roses to the mothers / grandmothers as a way of
showing appreciation for their support. The roses can also be presented
as the first gifts that the couple will give to each other.
8 Hand Wrapping Ceremony/Hand Fasting – from £60
The original meaning of
“tying the knot”. After the couple both declare their intent to enter
into this union, the hands of the couple are clasped and fastened together with
a cord and ribbons. The wrapping of the cord forms an infinity symbol. The
handfasting knot that is tied is a symbolic representation of oneness between
the couple. In a show of unity, they become bound to each other in unity.
9 Candle – from £60
This ritual has long
been used in Catholic weddings, but as a traditional ceremony option it also
holds a universal meaning. It symbolises the joining of the couple in
marriage as well as the joining of their two original families. The
couple’s mothers can light their individual candles for them as a symbol to
show that they are moving on from their family to create a new family together.

give their last kiss as single individuals before sending them on their new
journey as husband / wife / life partner.
